Jun 6, 2016He was born October 2nd, 1930 in Del Norte, Colorado to George and Eleanor M. Budde Worker.?William married the love of his life, Evelyn Stoeber, on Aug. 21, 1951 in Monte Vista.Bill spent most of his life in agriculture.?For many years he was the warehouse manager for Center Potato Growers Co-op.?He was an active member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.?In his spare time, Bill enjoyed working in his shop creating solutions for everyday problems, planning family events, volunteering at church and the Kiwanis Club.Bill has joined his wife Evelyn, his daughter Audrey Worker, his parents, four brothers and his son-in-law Jim Phillips, in his heavenly reward.?He was dad and grandpa, moral compass and spiritual guide.?A never ending source of love and encouragement, his pride in his family was his greatest treasure.?He is survived by his children; Wanda (Vic) Parks, Vicky Phillips, Barbara (John) Howard and Virginia (Ernie) Myers, 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday June 3 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. A Vigil Service with recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 2 at Rogers Mortuary in Monte Vista.?A visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the rosary, starting at 6 p.m. Cremation will take place following the service and a private family committal service will be held at a later time in the San Luis Valley Cemetery in Monte Vista.?Contributions in his memory may be made to the Center Kiwanis Club in care of the funeral home office.?To express condolences to the family, please visit www.rogersfunerals.com.Rogers Family Mortuary of Monte Vista is in care of the arrangements.
